You Are my Sunshine--Free Printable

*****UPDATE*****
I have gotten several requests for custom color schemes. I am unable to accommodate custom orders at this time. However, I did add a link to a pink version. Hope you enjoy!

Our friends' baby is turning 2, so for his birthday Mr. Mayhem and I decided to design him some custom wall art. His mama sings "You are my Sunshine" every nap and bed time so we thought framing those lyrics would be special. Mr. Mayhem put his graphic design skills to use (with my input, of course). We used Adobe Illustrator to design the poster.

We decided to print four 8x10" because we can print it on our home printer and finding frames would be easy.  The other advantage to printing it on 4 pages instead of one is that they can orient it different ways depending on what fits in their space.

If they are really limited on space they could choose just one or two to display and store the others for a later time.

The white frames are from Target. I chose them because they are simple and white, and let's be honest, I could afford 4 of them. That is the draw back to the 4 posters. What ever the frame cost is, is multiplied by 4. If money were no object I would have chosen a slightly thicker, more chunky frame.

If you would like to recreate this look I have uploaded a PDF version for you to download for FREE!!  Follow this link . For the updated PINK version click here.

You will see something like this. It is set to print on 8.5"x11" paper. The dotted lines are where to cut so it will fit in an 8"x10" frame.

We hope little K loves his gift!

Love,
Natalie

  2. This is adorable! My husband and I are expecting our first and my husbands mom sang this to him all the time when he was little! Do you have an editable version? I would love to change the colors to match our nursery! Thanks!

    1. I would need different colors too! But I love this. I found something painted on wood for an outrageous price but I love this more!

    1. Kathleney,
You probably can't view it because you don't have a PDF plug-in installed on your browser. If you just click download, then choose to open in with acrobat reader, that should work. Hope this helps!
